Our Firm

Have you been injured by the negligence of another? Have you lost a family member in a fatal accident or due to an intentional act? If you live in Missouri, Bley & Evans may be able to help. We’re the law firm you can trust to help you get through your accident and injuries and start fresh after your recovery.

Our law firm is dedicated to helping accident victims put their lives back together. We deal with the insurance companies so our clients don’t have to. We protect their legal rights, obtain compensation for the harm done and hold parties who caused accidents accountable for their actions.

A Missouri personal injury law firm that cares

We’re not a large law firm but our two partners make up for numbers by intensity and tenacity. We won’t let go until our clients obtain compensation that’s fair and reasonable, whether that’s through negotiation, mediation or litigation. We reason with insurance companies, and if that doesn’t work we go to court.
Bley & Evans understands the stress our clients are under and their need to support their families. Because we’re a small firm, all our clients get personal attention and every case is important. Our clients are people who rely on us to perform critical work for them. Bley & Evans understands our obligations to our clients, and we work hard every day to earn our clients’ trust.
We are honest with our clients, educate them about the law and the prospects for their case. Because of the counsel and information we provide, our clients can be confident about the decisions they need to make about the handling and resolution of their cases.

Missouri personal injury law firm attorneys who get the job done

Walter Bley and Mark Evans represent people injured as the result of the fault of another; this includes automobile crash cases, premises liability, products liability, medical negligence, and insurance-related matters. Mark Evans has been a trial attorney his entire career. He understands defendants and their insurance companies because he worked for one of the nation’s largest defense firms. For the last twenty years, he has been helping those injured due to someone else’s negligence.

We help people who are facing some of the biggest challenges they’ve ever faced because of the negligence or intentional acts of others. Bley & Evans represents those who seek compensation for their injuries due to vehicle and personal injury accidents, as well as accidents caused by defective products. We also help clients with claims against insurance companies.

  • Vehicle Accidents: We represent people who were injured in vehicle accidents caused by the negligence of others. We handle cases that involve every type of vehicle, including commercial vehicles, freight trains, passenger cars, ATVs, motorcycles, and bicycles; we also help injured pedestrians. Accidents can happen on major highways, local streets, back roads, sidewalks, private property, and in parking lots. Drivers causing these accidents may be distracted, drunk, speeding or violating laws or rules of the road. There may be one or several parties responsible for the injuries.
  • Personal Injury: These cases include a wide range of preventable accidents that cause injuries and deaths. They can be in a retail store, a public space, a friend’s house, or on a sidewalk. They can cause traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, broken bones, soft issue injuries and chronic back problems. Sometimes defective medical devices are implanted that don’t work as advertised and will only make one’s life worse. If negligence or an intentional act caused the death of a family member, a wrongful death lawsuit may obtain for you and your family compensation for the harm done and some justice after a responsible party is held accountable.
  • Product Liability: We assume the products and objects that surround us are safe to use. That’s not always the case. This type of lawsuit involves property damage, injuries or deaths caused by a defective product. Perhaps it is not safe for its intended purposes or is being sold for a purpose for which it was not designed or made. It could be that someone was hurt or killed because of a faulty design or sloppy manufacturing. Directions, instructions or warnings may have been insufficient. Defective products can be in your household; part of your vehicle, a tool or machine you use at work; or a medication prescribed by your doctor.
  • Insurance Claims: After property damage or the injury or death of a family member, you likely filed a claim with your insurance company or with one covering another party. Insurance policies are written to cover harm done under specified circumstances and hazards, and premiums are paid so that claims can be paid. But sometimes insurance companies will delay payment, pay claims only partially, or deny claims completely for no justified reason. Insurance carriers try to use policy language or interpret state law to their advantage. We help people and businesses get their claims paid and force insurance companies to live up to their obligations.
